  • 2 pounds large shrimp, (peeled and deveined)
  • ⅓ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro, (plus more for garnish)
  • 4 cloves garlic, (minced)
  • 2 jalapeños, (stemmed, seeded, and minced)
  • 2 tablespoons agave nectar
  • 2 tablespoons blanco tequila
  • 1 ½ tablespoons soy sauce
  • Zest of 1 lime
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt, (plus more as needed)
  • Lime wedges, (for serving)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Whisk together the olive oil, garlic, jalapeños, agave nectar, tequila, soy sauce, lime zest, and salt in a medium bowl.

  2. Add the shrimp and toss to combine. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes or up to 2 hours.

  3. Skewer 4 to 6 shrimp onto soaked wooden or metal skewers.

  4. Heat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat and grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until the shrimp is pink and opaque.

  5. Garnish with cilantro and serve with fresh lime wedges.
